Turtle Trot 2015
Well looking at what has happened with my Turtle Trot attempts over the last couple of years, it hasn't been a successful SAL for me! However, my theory is that it is because of me and not the Turtle Trot! This year, I AM GOING TO STICK TO IT and finish at least one project on my Turtle Trot list.
So without further ado, let me introduce you into my Turtle Trot list for 2015.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2014
There are some pieces that I really want to get stitched this year - I'm sure I said that last year too.
- Progress must be made on Chatelaine's Roses of Paris. I love this one so far and would love to see some serious progress on it this year.
- The piece I have been asked to stitch for my cousin. I want Cinderella finished and sent.
- Santa's Village - I have all the charts, threads and buttons so would like to stitch them all this year ready for next Christmas.
- Honeysuckle Courtyard which is a gift for my parents-in-law Golden anniversary but this will also be one of my Crazy January Challenge starts.
- Positive Thinking SAL. I have positioned part 2 slightly wrongly which has resulted in a loss of mojo with the project.
- Henry VIII and his 6 wives. This is a Tuesday SAL on Facebook with Kaye.
- Cut Thru Stable - Bothy Threads. Monday night SAL with Linda and Debbie.
- Mary's Sampler or it could end up a UFO and there is no reason for it to. FINISHED
- Papillon Creations Around the World SAL. I am so far behind on this one but it is really pretty and deserves to be stitched.
- CCN - A Place We Call Home. Lovely design and it stitches up quickly and would be lovely if it actually got finished...lol

2013
I am joining in with the Turtle Trot 2013 SAL. This is for slow coaches who do lots of stitching but not so much finishing and who like to jump around with different projects.
The rules (shamelessly stolen from http://bap-attack.blogspot.co.uk/) are:
1. You must have a blog, because you'll be posting links to it. If you don't have a blog, you can still work on those old projects, lol. You just won't be eligible for the contest.
2. Pick 13 unfinished projects (because it's for 2013, get it?).
3. Take a picture of them and make a blog post by the 13th of January, 2013.
4. Each month, by the 13th, post whatever progress pics you have.
5. Post a link to your progress post on the blog.
My 13 projects that I want to will work on this year and make a decent amount of progress on are
- Cinderella - Joan Elliott
- Henry VIII and his 6 wives - DMC
- Friends are like Angels - Lizzie Kate
- Horse Racing - John Clayton
- Garden Tools - Anchor
- Around the World - Papillon Creations
- Confetti of Hardanger - Abi Gurden
- Maggie the Messmaker - Dimensions Gold Collection
Honeysuckle Court - Patricia Ann Designs Changing to Santa's Village instead.
- 6 Fat Men - Lizzie Kate
- Football Cushion - Sheena Rogers
- Tatty Teddy Bookmark - Anchor
- She sells seashells - Country Cottage Needleworks
I am going to add on to this the Santa's Village as I would like to keep up to date on it and any RR's that I receive. I may have other things that creep into it too. I have also joined Theme-a-licious and WIPocalypse for 2013
March's Belated progress
For a change, I'm late...oops!

John Clayton - Horse Racing |
This is all the progress that I made, not a lot as I am studying a module with OU and my stitching time is seriously reduced :(
I have decided to sub out one project for the Turtle Trot. Instead of starting Honeysuckle Courtyard, I am going to add in officially, Santa's Village.
February's belated progress.
First up is 6 Fat Men. See the 2 line of white in the blue outline, well that's it, that's my progress this month. I am finding this really hard to stitch on at the moment and hope when the lighter evenings are here it might be easier!
Cinderella. I am loving her even though I seem to be unpicking as much as I stitch. There is a conversion to pink and another to purple. As this one is for my cousin, I may do one of those for myself at some point in the future.
Around the World now had part 6 completed. This should have been a really easy stitch but I spent more time unpicking for some reason. Perhaps stitching when I'm tired is NOT such a good idea. Trouble is I would never stitch if I did that!
And finally there are about an extra 10 stitches in His Royal Highness King Henry VIII.
I had a bit of a stitchy slump for a couple of weeks so that really messed up getting any progress and I also had a new start on Sweet Pea Pixie (Nora Corbett).
***********************************************
So between January 1st and 13th, 6 projects saw a little love. Not bad in less than 2 weeks. These projects also fitted in with my Theme-a-licious theme for the month.

All of your pieces are lovely. The colors in Around the World are some of my favorites. May your stitching slump be a thing of the past, Happy Stitching!
